New pneumatics

a. Oil-free 16-gauge trim nailer
Stanley Fastening Systems introduces the newest member of its line of magnesium oil-free pneumatic nailers – the Bostitch FN16250K-2 16-gauge finish nailer. Tipping the scales at only 3.3 lbs., the powerful oil-free engine accurately sinks fasteners to the correct depth while eliminating the risk of oil staining expensive trim material and finish work.

The exclusive no-nail lockout feature prevents the tool from cycling when it is out of fasteners, eliminating unnecessary holes in finish work.  The no-mar tip further protects finish material from damage.

Clearing unlikely jams is quick and easy because users have complete access to the drive channel when the magazine is opened.

Countersinking adjustments are made quickly with the convenient adjustable depth-of-drive dial, and the ultra-quiet rear exhaust located at the end of the tool’s handle directs air away from users and work surfaces. Item 133

b. High-pressure pinner
The world’s first high-pressure pneumatic nailing system was introduced by MAX in Japan just over 10 years ago, and now MAX USA Corp. is introducing the proven technology of 400 psi tools in the United States.

The PowerLite  HN25C pinner weighs 40 percent less and is 20 percent smaller than competitors’ tools, yet doesn’t sacrifice power.

The HN25C pinner can replace powder- and gas-actuated tools in metal-to-concrete fastening applications, such as shooting drywall track. MAX USA sources report it can increase productivity by as much as 50 percent, and the tool doesn’t require the cleaning powder- or gas-actuated tools require, saving even more time.

The HN25C weighs only 4.4 lbs. and can hold 100 pins up to 1" in length. The unit has a sequential fire trigger, dial-adjustable depth control and a unique tangle-free fitting. Its slim nose allows it to get into tight locations. Item 134

c. 15-gauge finish nailer
Makita’s new model AF633 15-gauge (DA) 2 1/2" finish nailer is very similar to its model AF632, except the AF633 accepts the popular 15-gauge DA or Senco style finish nails The model AF632 accepts 15-gauge Bostitch style finish nails.

Delivering professional quality and precision, the AF633 is lightweight and has a rear-loading angled aluminum magazine with a 120-nail capacity. It can drive nails from 1 1/4" to 2 1/2", so it is ideal for moldings and baseboards, cabinet production, door and window casings, paneling, hardwood flooring, and a multitude of other applications.

Its large depth adjustment dial is located in front of the trigger and is easily accessible. It has a fast, tool-less cam-locking nose piece that opens easily if a nail jams. The exhaust vent rotates 360 degrees. Item 135

d. Generator/compressor combo
The UT5508 Comp/Gen Combo generator/compressor from Florida Pneumatic is designed to simultaneously power nail/staple guns and a circular saw or other corded tools on jobsites.

The unit produces 1600 watts of  15 amp electrical service. Powered by a 5.5-hp Honda gas engine, the unit can run three hours on a single tank of gas. It can simultaneously produce 9 SCFM at 100 psi. Item 136

e. New compressor, tool line
PrimeSource Building Products has expanded its Grip-Rite line with compressors and pneumatic tools. The 1.5-hp GR152CM air compressor works with finishing and fastening tools, even though it weighs only 37 lbs. It has three built-in handles for easy portability and is built to last for 4,000 continuous hours.

The Grip-Rite line of pneumatic nailers expands to six models with the addition of the GRTCR175 coil roofing nailer. At 4.86 lbs., it shoots 15 degree 7/8" through 1 3/4" coil roofing nails and can be adjusted for depth without tools. It has a compact body design, yet can shoot 120-nail coils. Its dual-pawl nail feed system offers a consistent and reliable nail feed. It also has dual carbide inserts to prevent wear and an adjustable shingle guide. Item 137

f. Pneumatic tool lubricant
Keep pneumatic tools that require lubrication working with ATP’s new Blue Magic air tool lubricant. Blue Magic oil is a special compound for lubricating pneumatic tools and motors. Moisture in compressed air can rapidly wash away most lubricating oils used in pnuematic tools and motors, but Blue Magic has additives that absorb moisture into the lubricant, forming a stable emulsion that clings to the inside of the tool.

In addition to its lubricant and rust-inhibiting properties, it also helps prevent tool icing of the tool’s exhaust.

Blue Magic is available in pint, quart and gallon containers. Item 138
