1. Sharpen wide range of drill bits
The Drill Doctor DD750X drill bit sharpener from Professional Tool Mfg. can sharpen the largest range of bits. The unit’s metal core makes it precise, durable and accurate.

It will sharpen standard twist bits from 3/32" to 3/4" with a single, convenient chuck and can sharpen high-speed steel, masonry, carbide, cobalt, TiN-coated, and split-point bits. It can even create split-point bits from standard bits. The Custom Point lets you adjust the point angle from 115 degrees to 140 degrees. It also offers variable alignment so you can adjust chisel and relief angles to customize your bits to suit your drilling application. Item 154

2. Spline masonry bits offer longer bit life and faster drilling speed
A new line of spline masonry drill bits (DW5740 – DW5769) from DeWalt has patented technologies that provide users with a bit that drills faster and lasts longer than other bits which helps save time and money on the jobsite. 

Independent testing reveals the bits, on average, can drill 11 percent more holes than other bits before needing to be replaced.

The patented combination of the four flutes and open head design allows users to drill faster than with other leading brands, report DeWalt sources.

The bits have a Rock Carbide tip and patented sidecutters, which combine to create four cutting edges on the head of the bit. A unique tip geometry maximizes carbide surface contact and helps to ensure a longer bit life.  Item 155

3. Double cut auger bits
The M.K. Morse Company’s new line of Double Cut Auger Bits have a self-feed screw point for effortless boring and a double-flute design for fast clearance and chip removal. The precision ground, heat-treated and tempered cutting edges go right through nails and can be resharpened which provides longer cutting life. The auger bits have a 7/16" shank for quick-change chucks and are available in a wide range of diameters in 7 1/2" or 18" overall lengths. Item 156

4. Type I spur and Type II ship auger bits
The new Type I Power Band Spur and Type II Power Band Ship Auger Bits from Bosch Power Tools and Accessories feature a Power Band tip that focuses drilling power to the bits’ super-sharp cutting edges. The Type I Power Band Spur Auger Bit line are available in 1/4" to 1 1/2" diameters and 7 1/2", 13" and 17" lengths. The cutting spur cuts clean, fast holes in nail- or staple-free material. Low-friction, solid center flutes with black-oxide coating reduce chip clogging and provides added rigidity. The fully heat-treated bit is durable and a quick-change power groove hex shank allows for easy bit changes.

The Bosch Type II Power Band ship augers come in diameters from 3/8" to 1 1/2" and 7 1/2", 17" and 24" lengths. The heavy-duty cutting edge and self-feeding screw point can easily cut through nails or other impediments. Low-friction black oxide-coated flutes reduce chip clogging and a hollow center provides a wide-open channel for fast chip removal. A universal power groove hex shank adds bit holder stability yet makes bit changes simple. Item 157

5. Make your worm gear saw into a concrete cutter
Cleform’s patented SawBuster  turns your worm gear circular saw into a portable concrete cutting or engraving workhorse. 6. SDS-Plus rebar cutter
Relton offers the only rotary rebar cutter with an SDS-Plus shank for drilling through rebar in concrete. The rebar cutter helps save hammer bits and reduces or eliminates the need to relocate holes to avoid rebar. 7. Dust collector for cutoff saws
Shave Away, Europe introduces the Saw Muzzle Type E, a heavy duty, fiberglass filled ADS dust collector designed to remove dust created by Bosch, Hitachi, DeWalt, Milwaukee and other 14" electric cutoff saws. It is easy to install and will adjust to any depth of cut. Excellent for concrete and all other dusts, it will extend the life of the tools and protect the worker from harmful silica dust. It is more than 95 percent efficient when used with a standard industrial shop vacuum. Item 160

8. Grip driver has flashlight function
Metabo has introduced a new flashlight that complements its 4.8 volt Power Grip driver. The flashlight uses the same battery as the 1.25 amp-hour Nib-Cd battery pack used on the driver and provides a bright light with its 5.2-volt halogen light bulb. The flashlight is now part of the Power Grip kit, which includes two Ni-Cd batteries, the driver, flashlight, charger and carrying case. The unit’s weight with the battery pack is 13 oz. Item 161
